13.07.2008 - NEW CAR FOR THE TEAM AT K-TEC
The team at K-TEC motorsport have taken delivery of their new race car for the remaining rounds of the sportscar/sports sedan series at Barbagallo raceway in 2008. The Mazda RX-7 sports sedan built by GO-GEAR racing services will be driven by 2007 state formula ford champion Cade Bell & engineered by Brendan Anesbury. Weighing just 660kg a tube frame chassis with kevlar, fibreglass body panels is used with a 13B rotary engine putting out a conservative 320BHP. Theese cars have excellent power to weight ratio and should lap the Barbagallo circuit once sorted in sub 60sec lap times. Our first race meet with the new car will be the Supertruck meeting next weekend, Jul 19-20. Race update to follow.

The harness is from the UK, and is very lightweight with all motorsport connectors. Our red RS has had a freshen up and is seen here getting a wheel alignment and corner weights set before heading east to compete in Rally Tasmania.

This early 911 targa has a long racing history here in Australia and last competed in the gruelling London to Sydney marathon. Work has begun in converting the car from gravel to tarmac spec. More progress pics to follow shortly...

Our latest customer RS build. All the panels on this one are glass and the engine is now out to 3.9ltr. Wheels are 8 & 10" Fuchs replicas and the car is running torsion bars. Dyno and road test report coming in the new year.
10.12.2007 - CUP CAR TEST DAY
Current state formula ford champion Cade Bell tested the Buildwise racing 996 cup car for the first time today at Barbagallo raceway here in Perth. The test went well and Cade now plans to make the move from open wheelers to sedans for season 2008.

A wet first couple of days at this years Mt Buller sprint made the sixteen km run up the mountain even tougher. Monday was fine and the crews finally got the chance at four dry timed runs on this awesome tarmac stage.

A final run before the car is loaded in the truck and heads east for this years Mt Buller sprint in Victoria. We are now running MOTON shocks in this 997GT3 RS.

21.06.2007 - motorsport boys keep busy with restorations
Brendan,Cade and the motorsport team are busy restoring this beautiful Karman ghia for a porsche customer for her daughters birthday, He wanted a special job done on this car so the boys have taken on this little project between race race meetings and race car preperations. The chrome work has just returned from the platers and will look stunning once conmpleted.

Work is progressing on the restoration of the HWM race car. The hand beaten aluminium panels fit like a glove and it will be ashame to paint over them. It runs a series I E type 3.8 litre modified motor with tripple webers and a jaguar gearbox. should be a weapon at the historics.

A tough rally for the team from K-TEC this year with both cars out early in the event. One car suffering a broken crankshaft distributor drive and the other car crashing out. Tony Sullens won this years event from Jim Richards in his brand new GT3 RS.
07.05.2007 - Success at the race weekend for K-tec customers
Sun, 7th of May 2007, Barbagallo Raceway 3 K-tec cars were competing, in a series of firsts. In only his first outing in a GT3 he bought on Monday, George Bradbury managed to work his way up to second place in the last race of the day. Chis Wilson 'took it easy' in his first race in the beautiful Gulf colored 911 Carrera RS recreation - his laptimes came down stadily! And Hans de Corti, driving Georges 911 RS replica managed to win the 'Marque Sports Cars' class for the day!

Our black RS won peoples choice at this years PORSCHE CLUB CONCOURSE. After a shakedown at the race track friday, the car was cleaned & finished friday night then driven to the show saturday, where it took out the trophy for peoples choice.
11.11.2006 - BUTTERFLY DAY 2006
EB Butterfly Day was initiated in order to raise money for the on going research into a cure for EB with 100% of profits from the sale of EB Butterfly Pins, Mobile Phone Jewellery and Pens donated to DebRA in Australia and New Zealand.
Last year we raised over $3000 and are hoping this year to raise even more and and to raise awareness for DebRA and EB with this years Butterfly Day to be held again on November 23rd 2006.

A busy month for K-TEC MOTORSPORT with a trip to the Mt.Buller sprint last week and this week heading to South Australia for Classic Adelaide.We are providing full service and support for four cars in Adelaide, three 911,s & a 924turbo. All the necessary spares and tools needed to run the cars have been sent to S.A. for what should be a fantastic event. A full write up & pics when we return.

Our latest RS replica has hit the road and will run in this years TARGA WEST tarmac rally driven by KTEC's Kevin Clifton and Brendan Anesbury will again be navigator. This car was built totally in house by K-TEC MOTORSPORT and has a 3.4ltr engine on carb's and a short 915 box with LSD. We are running torsion bars on this one and a GT3 brake package with dual master cylinders.K-TEC MOTORSPORT have many years experience in building and preparing theese early 911 Porsche's for tarmac rallys and can assist you in all areas of chassis and engine/gearbox set up and development, right through to a complete ground up vehicle rebuild and roll cage installation. Bryce Washington(GT3 CUP CAR)took the round win at Mallala on the weekend with 2wins from 3starts from Greg Crick(Dodge Viper).Claude Giorgi(GT3 CUP CAR) had a solid weekend after a tough race 1 and 2 with heavy contact resulting in a DNF in the second race. The team bounced back to tenth in race 3 from rear of grid.

The mighty VESKANDA sports car made a return to the track after a freshen up which included a full engine rebuild.We had multiple Australian sports sedan champion Tony Ricciardello run some laps for us. Tony heads to Wakefield park in N.S.W this weekend for round 1 of the new CAMS run national series, which includes, F3, Australian GT Championship & Sports Sedans.

It was great to see theese 2cars again at CLASSIC ADELAIDE 2005, both built locally by K-TEC Motorsport a couple of years ago, the cars were sold on and are now based in Melbourne.
26.11.2005 - CLASSIC ADELAIDE
This is an awesome event with 300+ cars taking part over 1000km including approx 240km of closed road competition stages.We could not get over how much the whole of Adelaide and surrounding areas get behind the event with thousands of people turning out on the Friday night car display/street party in Gouger st in the heart of the city.Being our first time our main aim was to finish in one piece.The K-TEC prepared 74 911RS of G.BRADBURY & the 924 turbo of Glynn Crimp both had a succesful rally,both cars finishing the tough 4day event strongly.Rex Broadbent 74 911RS won the event outright for a record 4th straight time beating home Jim Richards 944 turbo cup. Roll on 2006!
25.11.2005 - A1 GP Round Eastern Creek Raceway
This was a fantastic event with good crowds over the 3days at Sydneys Eastern Creek Raceway.A full grid of GT sportscars fronted for the 1hour enduro with Vipers, Ferrari's, Lotus & plenty of Porsche's giving fans the best grid of GT sportscars seen in this country for some years. Rodney Crick won the round in his monster 8ltr V-10 Dodge Viper from Allan Simonsen Ferrari 360 GT.Claude Giorgi and the team from K-TEC had a tough weekend,crashing out on lap 1 with a split front radiator.The 2006calender will be released shortly with some exiting events allready locked in for next year including a round at the famous Mt.Panorama circuit in Bathurst. 29.08.2005 - Australian GT championship Rd 4
The teams travelled back to Phillip Island for the latest round and the action was again fast & tough at the front between Hackett & Washington. The GT3 of Giorgi missed the round as the team at K-Tec are busy preparing the teams cup car for the upcoming A1 Grand Prix at Eastern Creek on Nov4-6.Darcy Russell made his season debut in his awesome Viper and took a race win.Championship leader Peter Hackett flew to the Paul Ricard circuit in France on Aug 25 to test with the new Team Australia A1 Grand Prix team.The AGT championship is racing at the Australian round of the A1 Grand Prix with a 30min race on Saturday & a 1hour race on Sunday.
11.08.2005 - GIORGI moves to 3rd in Porsche Drivers Challenge/GT championship
Some close racing between Giorgi and Kais both in GT3's at Sydney's Eastern Creek raceway as the two cars went at it lap after lap in race 2 before a coming together into turn 2 in race 3 left Giorgi coming off second best.We have finally found the speed we have been searching for to run with the leading contenders in the Porsche drivers challenge as the season just gets bigger with every round.Hackett in the V12 Lambo,Palmer Honda NSX,and Washington GT3 cup car had a fantastic battle for the outright placings.Next round is Phillip Island and sees the return of the awesome Dodge Viper of Darcy Russell. The mighty K&A engineering built VESKANDA sportscar is about to be restored to its former glory.Work will begin shortly on the engine and running gear and later this year the car will make a return to the track. stay tuned...
The teams travelled north to Quensland raceway on July2/3 for round 2.Claude Giorgi and the team from K-Tec motorsport had a tough weekend having never run at the bumpy Ipswich track.The guys worked hard all weekend and had a pretty good set up come qualifying and then kept working away at it for all 3 races.We finished 4th in the Gt class Porsche drivers challenge and now sit 4th overall in the championship.The next round is at Eastern creek in NSW on Jul23/24. The field just keeps getting bigger and better with some awesome cars now running in the championship inc the Le-Mans class winning GT3RS of the racers group 2002 now here in Australia.

12.06.2005 - Winter Classic Race Meeting
K-Tec Motorsport had a very successful weekend at Barbagallo Raceway in very wet and slippery conditions. Claude Giorgi was fastest in qualifying and won all 3 races in his GT3 Clubsport beating Walter Epple. George Bradbury in his early RSR Replica with a 3.8ltr got a second place in race 2 and was 3rd in race 3 until a red flag ended the race. Harvey Leys had a good weekend in his 911 and Kevin Clifton drove well in the 944 turbo, considering the tough conditions.

30.05.2005 - RS Replica Hits The Road
The 74 RS Replica of George Bradbury is nearing completion and was finally fired up for the first time this week. The now 3.4litre engine has been twin plugged with Weber Carbs and the 915 box has a new LSD and short gearing. The lightweight racer is being prepared for the upcoming TARGAWEST Rally, then will head East for the awesome CLASSIC ADELAIDE event in November.
23.05.2005 - AUSTRALIAN GT CHAMPIONSHIP Rd 1 Phillip Island
The new series kicked off at the awesome Phillip Island circuit in Victoria with a great field of exotic cars.Claude Giorgi in his stunning 04 GT3 clubsport had a good start to the season with fifth place in both GT and Porsche drivers challenge.The team from K-Tec motorsport are busy preparing the car for round 2 at Queensland raceway on July2/3.The car will run at Barbagello raceway here in Perth on June 12 before heading east to do battle again with the Ferrari's and Lamboughini's.
